Out of curiosity, what do you see as the big GNOME improvements? I've always been a GNOME fan, but the last AT poll I recall was probably early in GNOME 2.2, and I don't see anything huge separating 2.2 from 2.4.
Not debating or anything - I just find it interesting how everyone has their own little deciding factors in evaluating desktops.
edit: Oh, yeah... while I'm at it, if y'all haven't checked out XFCE4, you really should. I just finished setting it up on my laptop from work - 1GHz Celeron w/256MB of PC133 and crappy video. GNOME worked, but felt a bit too sluggish. XFCE4, however, is sweet. Much nicer than the old version, IMO.
