HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. ? Toxicology results show alcohol is to blame for the death of a North Mecklenburg High School student who was found unconscious after a party at a friend's house last December.

Huntersville police say they found empty beer and liquor bottles at the Huntersville home where 16-year-old Michael Duni and his friends had a party. An adult was home at the time, but was asleep while the teens drank.

Duni's friends found him passed out the next morning. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, where he later died.

Police say any underage drinkers at the party and the person responsible for supplying the alcohol could face criminal charges.

Don't get me wrong, I'd have a problem switching from my jack n' water to some bootleg crap. But, praise Allah, if I could walk into the local grocery store's produce section and fill up one of those gigantic plastic baggies with as much fvcking latin lettuce as I could, they would have to surgically remove the smile off my face.

But, I guess it's comments like these that keep it illegal. No, really, it's those guys that wear the big funky hats, the baggie jeans, the massive marijuana leaf on a cheap gold chain.

The kids that skip school, the ones that don't go to college, the ones that couldn't get into a college. The ones that don't have electricity this month because roommate #6, Hector Whatsyourlastnameagain, didn't pay the utility bill.

The girl on the cell phone, with a dangling cigarette, passing people on the freeway in her daddy's SUV. The guy who adds his previous employment at Taco Bell and KFC to his application to Wendy's.

I'm not saying hide it. Damnit, I'm saying be proud of it. Put on a damn suit every once in a while, get a haircut. Be a responsible person, get a job, and keep it. Danmnit, be good at it.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen anyone upset or angry while on pot, while the numbers are staggering for the use of alcohol and anger / intolerance.

I think that's a huge stereotype about people who smoke or consume weed are all slackers. The goverment with their stupid commercials really help to perpetuate that image. It would be nice however if they presented a more balanced view of alcohol and how it affects some people.

I can't really see the difference..........they are both bad for your health.........one makes you act like a ignorant moron and the other makes you act like a brainless ignorant moron.

So, I guess if I have to vote I will vote for Neither and try my best to stay healthy mentally and physically, that always seems to make more sense to me...........not sure why except when I see those morons passed out and throwing up........that is probably what makes me realize how much real fun im missing.

OH YEA........ruin my liver or my lungs? Hmmmm, seems kind of stupid to me to ruin either one. Can't seem to justify either one............not sure why! DUH!!!!!!!!!

How old are you? I can count the number of times I've passed out or thrown up from drinking/smoking on the fingers of one hand, and that's from over a decade of using both. You must not have heard of the concept of "moderation."
BTW, an ellipsis consists of only three "..." and is not to be used as a substitute for spaces, line breaks, or rational thinking.

As an avid pot smoking clandestine chemist, I find it offensive that you want to relive the 'Roaring 20s' and make it more difficult for me to get the solvents I use to isomerize and extract D9THC into its pure form.

As long as there is yeast to make bread, and sugar to sweeten things, alcohol will not go away.
