The $25 Old Navy cheap ones are fine for me. No point is spending serious cash on jeans when I ruin them (I'm a painter) in a few months time.

Well it isn't just the brand. It is the 'style' and the 'cut'. The bigger stores usually have more variety or more styles of their brand or different brands.

Me being in England I get shafted.

I'll pay etween £25 ~ $45( (or cheapest I can get for whateverI like) to £100 ~ $180 for a really nice pair.

Saw a really nice pair of Diesel jeans for £140 ~ $252 (ouch) but just TOO MUCH money to spend when your a student...

If you can afford more go for it!

5-10 years ago I would pay $60-80 for Girbaud/Guess/Tommy. Now, I buy Levi when they go on sale at JC Penny.

$40 is about my limit. I haven't found that "good" jeans last any longer than cheaper ones (except Gap jeans -- pieces of crap!). If I want "nice" jeans to wear out, I'll put on nice slacks since I'm an adult these days and can wear real clothes.

hrm. i think the most i've ever spent is 30.00 on a pair of jeans from AF but i'm never buying pants from there again.

i typically spend 15-25 dollars, depending on where i picked them up. i think the most i'd pay is 50.00 unless i find a monster deal on a great brand.

i don't really care about my jeans though, i buy what fits and i usually have to get them altered anyways length wise. i have ck (woot outlet), american eagle, express, gap, etc.
