If I had them for free, 760MPX with dual 2GHz CPU's. I don't have that much money to burn though so its gonna be nForce for me.

I'll stick to AMD760 for now. I don't have any use for 2 CPUS nor integrated Video. Even if it's semi-decent integrated video.

As I have no urgent need for a new PC, I'm willing to wait a little while longer for the 760MPX. I've been planning such a system for a long time and the cost of the Tyan K7 board will force me to wait just a few months more.

nForce b/c:

1) For what I do, dual CPU's are overkill
2) Dual 1.5 Palomino's and a MPX are gonna own me in $$$. But you may say, get two slower/cheaper CPU's. But as Anand said, one single, fast CPU would dominate two slower ones. I'd be satisfied with one 1.5GHz Pally.
3) I happen to like all the integrated stuff on the nForce...something you're not gonna get on a $200 MPX board.

nForce. Sounds like it could be the stability and performance king. I'm counting on good ol' Abit to make one of the boards without the video or audio though .

nForce all the way.

That chipset is simply TOO good to be true IMO. If this thing does what it's supposed to do (ie. work and being stable ), then we'll have some really good moments ahead of us.

Small, cheap, silent, high performing PC's, all made possible thanks to that highly integrated chipset...

And Dual Athlons are overkill for most users, even for the majority on this board I think. But of course, it's nice too for those who need it

the integrated video will be very handy for building new systems.. it's not crap integration.... hopefully. also, in the event of "switching" video cards.. you can sell your current one.. and have a period where you can wait a little before getting a new one

I would have to say nForce. The 760MPX may excel in server apps, but who here is actually running a real, high performance server. I'm not talking about making a cheap Linux file/print server with a low clocked Pentium (which I'm planning on doing). Nor am I talking about having your primary rig act as a server/router to the rest of your house's network. I'm talking about a sit in the closet and run "something" (for lack of a better example) server. Some people here may use CAD or make CGI. To them, I concede the need for dual processors. For games, your aren't going to see much improvement at all. Lets face it, for the majority of people here, if you buy the 760MPX, you are either buying it for bragging rights, or because burning all the cash in your house was making it too hot in your house and you think a pair of 1GHz+ CPUs would heat it more evenly. Yes, I support AMD, and think that its a good thing that they are rolling out a dual processor chipset. If i had the cash to burn (see above), i'd buy a mobo based on the 760MPX. however, I'm a poor college student. Thus, I'll probably go with the nForce (assuming its stable). I am not immune to the dark side, however, and there is this little voice that tells me "You can run it with one processor and upgrade to two when you get the cash!"

I suppose no one is interested in benchmarks?

I'll wait and see the difference in performance the two offer. The integrated sound card seems the real killer for the nForce though.

i happen to be nuts about cracking/searching... and 760mpx is very attractive for that... but i also like fast frames, which i'm not going to get by putting two cheapy morgans into a board... well, i will, but yall know what i mean... dual 1.5 pallys would fly through seti... but the cost is prohibitive

I am not a big gamer, and I do a lot of cadd and 3d rendering as well as video editing and encoding...so I am definitely looking at 760mpx...

I will wait to see the actual cost down the road...

Nforce for SURE... How can you argue with good 3d, more performance (20%??), and the best sound available for only $20 extra???

Athlon's are already dirt cheap, & now you don't even have to buy a video or sound card... it's too bad they couldn't build in a monitor too! =)

It's pretty obvious... nforce will rule the home computer and 760 will rule the server world (at least, they should!!)

760 MPX for me. Right now I'm using a P3 950 and a dual P3 700. I want to eliminate the extra machine and move to a dual Athlon 1.5GHz. I run a personal web and ftp server as well as dual Counter-Strike servers. I'm hoping that the dual Athlon will have enough power to do all that 24/7 while still eaving available enough power to do whatever else I want. That means gaming, photoshop, level editing and compiling, etc...
