Poll: Nintendo Wii, will you be buying one?

I thought about the 360, since I have an XBOX and love it. Then I remembered that the only time I pay games is during parties. The Wii is the best party system. So I'm going to get a Wii instead.

yes, i preordered one when ebgames/gamestop did their preorder thing a few weeks ago...along with zelda of course (the whole reason why im getting the wii).

I own some Nintendo stock, so I'm going to hopefully buy it on launch, and test it out with some friends.

The Wii plays GameCube games - it even has ports for your old GameCube controllers!

As for me, I'm in! I'll probably pick up a PS3 and Xbox 360 when they come down the Wii's price too

Wal-mart will have an indefinite amount of preorders at launch. I can have an indefinite amount of preorders too. Send me you're money + shipping + a convenience fee. You'll get it, eventually. Trust me.

I'm leaning towards no, but to be 100% honest I am undecided.

I honestly don't know how ANYBODY could have already made a decision yet, as there aren't a lot of reviews out there yet.
Sure there is some information out there, but no write ups really reviewing it.

I'll maybe get it after it's been out for a year or two, assuming I can hack or mod it without much difficulty and get Linux or some BSD derivative up on it without too much trouble. The last console I really liked was the Sega Genesis.

Yup, probably not right away. The last video game my fiance really played and cared about was Mrs. Pacman, and even she was kind of excited to see the Wii. We'll have one in our house sooner or later.
