A plurality of voters think Barack Obama is the worst president since World War II, a new poll says.
According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday, 33 percent of voters think the current president is the worst since 1945.
Obamas predecessor, former President George W. Bush, came in at second-worst with 28 percent, and Richard Nixon was in third place with 13 percent of the vote. After Jimmy Carter, who 8 percent of voters said was the worst president in the time period, no other president received more than 3 percent.

I believe it but not because it's true. It's the fact that the average American knows almost nothing about the past because it would require an interest and willingness to learn and there are so many more important things to do like use their smartphone while driving or watch American Idol. The average American lives in the moment because that is all they care about.
If you ask them though they will be more than happy to let you know that they are true intellects and the rest of the world are idiots.
Largely because Obama is currently in office. Bush, Nixon & Carter were not very popular towards the end of their presidencies. The current state of the economy kind of reminds me of the malaise in the late 70s when I was in high school. Unless people have a sense that things are getting better, I would expect all politicians to have poor ratings.

At least with clinton you knew where he stood, clinton cared about the economy and tried to get certain reforms, while obama does not care and is not pushing any reform except illegals.

This poll is why the rest of the world think Americans are stupid.
I'm in agreement with the above. In any case political figures are now just figureheads. Symbolic figures for the media etc. They just do what is told to them by the people who rule this countryHonestly I'm pretty pessimistic, Next President will be worse than Obama.
There are economic tides no one man can overcome.
Look even with a so callled socialist community organizer Obama the 1% white monied america has flourished under Obama big time. Everyone - middle and low class voters have been pummeled in the last 6 years. The beatings will continue.
Each time we elect a president, we defy expectations and prove that yes, we can actually do even worse. After slick willy, we thought we couldn't do worse, and proved that we could in fact do much worse. Bush showed us how lousy presidents could be, and then we doubled down and sank even lower by putting obummer in there not once but twice. I'm not at all optimistic that we'll do any better, the next one is likely to set the bar even lower, if that's even possible.

The amusing part about Clinton. He was the most free market president we have had since Coolidge. Republicans should love him if they are truely the free market party.
