The funniest part of the poll is the suggestion that Christians are pro-war & pro-poverty. It's only but the "liberal" Christians who oppose such things. I would expect nothing less from he who created the poll
Gosh, maybe if evangelical Christians don't want to be associated with being 'pro-war' and 'pro-poverty', they should distance themselves from the GOP. They have only themselves to blame for having their religion politicized.

Okay. My poll is this:
Would you vote for a conservative atheist (pro-intelligence, anti-democrat)?
Answer: You're implying that being democrat is pro-stupidity.
Rebuttal: Well, maybe they wouldn't be stupid if they'd stop being democrat.
Brilliant, Phokus.

I'm sorry but the evangelical Christians of most nations do not even consider the US evangelicals as christians at all, in fact, they see them as the worst of the worst of anything because they are seen, as a group, to be against helping the poor, pro-war, anti-progression in society and as racists and bigots. As a group, Jesus would be appalled by their actions and words.
You want to change that view, well stop behaving in a way that proves their point every single fucking time.

I'm not an evangelical Christian, but I view simply identifying that there is a God to be a step in the right direction, which counteracts what I believe to be the implied intent of this thread.
I think those on the right disagree wildly with what those on the left call "helping the poor" and certainly with what they call "progression." That's why bringing it up is a loaded question. According to the right, the left is in fact exacerbating the poverty problem, and vice versa.
That's why this whole thread is foolish. Answering the poll questions are contingent upon accepting Craig's characterization of his opponents as pro-evil, pro-stupid, and whatever else. Since any pollster knows that, to get a good result, you have to ask even-handed questions, these polls are poorly crafted, and therefore the results are skewed.
In other words, this poll was crafted to stroke his ego. The questions are asked in such a way as to provoke a desired answer.
The same would apply to a right-winger who asked questions with the opposite political leanings.

So not wanting the president of the US to be something I disagree with is myoptic? It's called conviction. Every single one of you could come up with a few things you would not want your president to be or believe in, you just won't admit it.

Indeed your convictions make you a very small man in both mind and statue.
A great atheist president with ideas you'd love would is discarded vs a Christian stalinesqe president in your view?
I mean, seriously, dismissing some of the greatest minds because you didn't like their personal beliefs... It's just fucking daft. Are you really that daft?

So you'd vote for a KKK grand wizard for president then?

If you're going to chastise me for not wanting the pres to have certain beliefs or behaviors, then you had better say you'd vote for anybody regardless if you disagreed very strongly with their beliefs.
Otherwise you're a hypocrite.

Christians are per definition extreme communists if they want to follow Jesus as they claim they do. To do nothing to forth yourself and always help the most unfortunate via an institution devised to do so is definently a communist idea.
You may not want to admit it, but it is what it is.

I know it's hard for you as a Brit to understand this, but we see our rights to be God given, not by people. So I'm sorry if it's hard for me to accept a President who is atheist, who might go "stalinesque" on us.
And no, Christians are not communists. Jesus asked individuals to help his fellow man. He did not point a gun at society and force them to produce for Him.

Jesus also said easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to get into heaven. Let us know which charity you are giving all your worldly goods away to.
