Its a real nothing burger. But in all fairness to all the parties involved we should put the nomination on hold and fully investigate every bit of testimony from both of them. That would make it a very fair and open process. Surely given that Kav was completely open and honest in his testimony there shouldn't be anything to fear right?

I'm sure he's aware that he won't get that from them, but he's interested in what their response will be since they're now clearly trying to push these other narratives. You won't get honesty from them, but it will reveal what they're going for, so that people can refute it and stay ahead of their disinformation.

We do and it is, just not the specifics. That does matter because they are ruining people's lives over their rampant insanity. They got a guy to fucking drive all the way to that pizza parlor (from another state), and shoot it up. We need to stamp it down before it gets out of hand, and so we can more easily definitively point to where it came from so that possibly some can be held responsible for when it does get out of hand (like the White Supremacist/Nazi march in Charlottesville, or likewise stuff like the Oklahoma City Bombing).

Sen. Bob Corker, a Tennesee Republican who at times has been at odds with President Trump, told Hill.TV on Tuesday evening that he is confident Senate Republicans will have enough votes to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by "no later than Saturday."
Corker also accused Democrats of having "overplayed their hand" in leveling accusations of sexual misconduct and assault by several women and demanding an FBI investigation.
The Senate had previously been scheduled to vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination but the Republican majority on Friday agreed to a demand from some members to delay the vote by one week to give the FBI more time to investigate the accusations.
“Cloture may be filed tomorrow … it feels to me like the FBI reports could come in as early as tomorrow, maybe Thursday … my guess is we’re going to vote no later than Saturday,” Corker said in an interview. He said he made that assessment after some "very heartfelt conversations" with his GOP colleagues.
Asked if Kavanaugh will win confirmation, Corker replied “I do.”
