Ah, the old "yes we did something vile and slimy, but he deserved it". It horrifies me that this has become a plausible option in today's world. There are ways to gain what you want without losing ones dignity. It all comes down to what you believe. Is more important to be right, to win, then it is to be a decent human being? I am honestly asking you?
Who nominated him? Trump. Not the greatest judge of character, right? Why didn't they thoroughly vet him? These are the questions you should be asking.

Yes, they are. But thay are also questions left of the topic at hand. Least we pretend any political agenda comes without purpose. I personally dont like the guy, but there is a right way and a wrong way. What the Dems did was wrong.

Don't nominate a potentially slimy guy, you won't see slimy allegations.

Just watched the whole affair again. It's so obvious Ford is telling the truth and Kavanaugh is a lying, whiny, entitled little partisan bitch.

Sen. Durbin demolished him, had Kavanaugh stuttering, getting belligerent. His avoiding real answers and playing word games (pretending "hearing" and "investigation" are synonymous) is a strange choice for someone who insists they are innocent - to say nothing of his adamant refusal to personally welcome an FBI investigation or Mark Judge being interviewed.

Sexual assault aside, he's still proven himself unfit for the office by lying and getting all frothy about the Democrats and Clintons.

Thanks Flake, hopefully your actions will allow us to save the integrity of the court. Kavanaugh the Fox Noise devotee getting seated will only corrupt it.

What a great rebuttal, you really showed me how unbiased you are by not addressing a single point I made. I'm sure you'll continue to ignore them too.

I get it, you are a snowflake and both sides suck. Its not tribalism that you are seeing though, its just not being intellectually lazy like you and the other "both sides" bitches (who unironically liked your post). The irony however is that you are indeed a puppet. You are the reason the GOP and Russians run propaganda campaigns, because they work and you are easy marks.

Without even knowing your posting history I bet I can describe you to a T.

You are a libertarian
You think both parties suck
You think Hillary is a corrupt politician
You think trump won because he spoke to the working class
You think "all lives matter"
You think the 2nd amendment is the most important amendment

Prove me wrong, show me a single post of yours that contradicts anything I said about you.

Holy shit.. 50+ year old neck beards marking their turf and trying to be an e-badass on a computer hardware forum

Yup you caught us. We had Ford start raising these allegations back in 2013 just so we could block Brett's nomination in 2018. That's how crafty we filthy leftists are and we would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for super smart "independent free thinkers" like you.

Kavanaugh is fighting against a flimsy allegation here, one savored, stewed, and shelved for political purpose, period. An allegation not even made for justice, but rather to smear an individual and hope the residue is enough to spoil despite the outcome.

As I said before, I actually believe that she is telling the truth the best she remembers. However, allegations such as these warrant investigation to determine validity prior to a smear campaign, do you not agree?

If someone was accusing you of sexual assault, and the media and powerful people were aligning with the accuser in a public forum well before you had a chance to defend yourself, and well before it had been properly vetted, would you not disagree with that treatment?

Do you feel people should be dishonored, and dismantled in a public forum on allegation alone?

I responded to you earlier in this thread (which you didn't respond to), and that response seems just as appropriate here:
http://www.portvapes.co.uk/?id=Latest-exam-1Z0-876-Dumps&exid=threads/poll-only-whos-lying.2554579/page-3#post-39591796

Furthermore, Kavanaugh said that he doesn't doubt that something happened to her, just not by him. Logically he should be the one calling for an investigation rather than losing his shit and claiming it's all a conspiracy. You're making a very similar claim, yet somehow you seem to be able to skim over the fact that Kavanaugh did not want to endorse an investigation and delay his interview, the very thing that would help to bolster the confidence of his peers and the general public, and would have meant that he didn't have to be questioned in public. Once he was cleared by the investigation, he could then have had an allegation-free interview.

He was questioned about allegations, not "dishonored and dismantled". For that to have happened, the GOP would have dropped him the moment any allegations came out before he had a chance to defend himself, which would have made him look even more suspect (ie. the general public would assume that the GOP knew more than they were letting on). I would have regarded such an act as a betrayal of him, instead they all lined up behind him without a doubt (except Flake), and betraying the public trust in the process.

A political party with some decency would have delayed the interview pending an investigation. A decent candidate (let alone a judge) would have asked for the same had the party not done so. IMO his actions in his interview have smeared his reputation, and only a complete 180 by him might possibly stand a chance at undoing that damage.

Still on this WHO'S LYING kick?
Well again.... she has no reason to lie.
He has every reason to lie.
He had a temper.
She was calm and collected.
Frankly.... SHE (Ford) would make a better US Supreme Court justice than Kavanaugh.
Besides, I'm tired of looking up how to spell his stupid name. Not worth the effort.
This democrat tactic of delay then deny is looking better and better all the time.
And remember, republicans denied Obama his guy using some made-up nonsense that an election was coming up and Obama had not the right.
Well.... THIS is much worse and absolutely warrants holding off.
THIS actually qualifies as a hold-off and delay where as treating Obama that way was just plain mean.

The entire US house and senate have been drug down into the mud. Made into a work of crap. A laughing stock. So no wonder these republicans want to drag the Supreme Court down with them. FOREVER!
If they succeed, there IS NO turning back.

Seems to me the Repubs have been/are laying the groundwork to have themselves rule the nation from a minority status, nothing more nothing less.

Having the Supreme Court locked away in their dungeons is, true to form, conniving and devious as they have always ever been and part of their grand plan to keep the nation in a time warp suitable to their needs.

The Repub constituency are presently in a state of denial wishing that the tides of change can be stymied by their stacking the courts in their favor, conjuring up these Constitution/BOR defying "Voter's Rights Laws", gerrymandering themselves into a majority while actually being a minority and other such debilitating divisive chicanery.

They definitely do have their very own interpretation of "One Nation, Under God" of which excludes the majority of the nation they are attempting to rule over every single underhanded way they can come up with.

The Repub Party is now in a state where they see themselves being threatened in an existential kind of way and they will stoop as low as they have to in order to keep themselves not only as an integral demographic of the body, they want to rule it in a way that keeps them indefinitely in control of it all.

Why? They’re worthless. Can’t be used in court because they’re so worthless. No w feed him some scopolamine maybe..
If they are so worthless why do so many high level government jobs require one? Kavanaugh is applying for a high level government job. What makes him so special? If he is truthful it will show.

I’ll agree he lied about blackout drunk and I dunno what Devil’s Triangle is so no comment there. Not sure how that makes him a scumbag bough. Is anyone who’s been blackout drunk a scumbag? Because that’s a very high percentage of adults at some point. Did you ever do anything when you were younger or are you a puritanical saint?
I'm not a puritanical saint but Kavanaugh claimed he was

And this is how I judge this case. Kavanaugh has lied and evaded multiple times. Ford has been fully truthful in all questions.

Based on that you don't get the new job. If an employer discovered you lied at your interview they wouldn't hire you either.

I had someone comment to me earlier today that Kavanaugh's citing of his mother's wisdom is advice we should all take. My reply was full agreement actually, as I think so much about Ford's details and behavior rings true, while Kavanaugh's story and shameful behavior rings false.

Kavanaugh will do to the Court what Trump has done to the White House. Give it near Russian credibility. I hope republicans can extract their heads in time, but if not, I will have no choice but to support the Dems in correcting this latest shameful corruption of the Supreme Court. I swore off giving money to politicians a long time ago, but that might be about to change.

Welp this is the girl claiming Kavanaugh was part of a train being ran

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...me-sexually-offensive-conduct-former-job.html

  • Julie Swetnick was accused of misconduct by her former employer, Webtrends
  • The Portland-based tech company filed a lawsuit against Swetnick in 2000 alleging that she engaged in 'unwelcome, sexually offensive conduct'
  • The company also said she lied about where she went to school, 'falsely described her work experience' and made false claims of sexual harassment

Lindsey Graham calls for another investigation. Political mudslinging results in political mudslinging. This whole fiasco is the shape of things to come. Social media is ansolutlenfueling the fire too imo. On the plus side it dramatically opens up dialogue from everyone across the country. The negative though is that it dramatically opens up dialogue from everyone across the country.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/su...-democrats-handled-ford-s-accusations-n915156

“We’re going to do a wholesale and full-scale investigation of what I think was a despicable process,” Graham, of South Carolina, said on ABC’s “This Week.”

Graham — who made headlines during Thursday’s hearing for growing furious with Senate Democrats and blasting them for orchestrating a “sham” — said Sunday that he would demand an investigation into “what happened in this committee.”

Who leaked the letter is a legitimate question. I don't think it was Feinstein or staff. She seems pretty honorable.

Who told Ford to hire a lawyer isn't. Anyone who has a cursory understanding of these committees would have given that advice. I would have told her the same thing.

BTW - Is this the same Graham who helped Mitch hold up Garland for almost one year? Pot meet kettle.

How do you know that he wasn’t..?
Where are you going with the question? Kavanaugh proclaimed himself a virginal choir boy and too much evidence has come out that indicates it is a lie. Evidence, lying about notes in calendar that referred to sex. It's EVIDENCE Kavanaugh is not telling the truth
