The guys in the first car were probably trying to protect their bikes from getting hit by other cars, but they shouldn't have backed up so far. The car was small enough that the bikes and the car could have fit inside the parking space instead of encroaching on the sidewalk. The guy in the second car was an unstoppable douchebag. Pretending to ram someone with your car is so retarded that I'm not even sure what to say. The cameraman may have asked the initial question with a slight antagonistic edge to his voice, but, beyond that, I don't think he did anything wrong. People need to be called out on their moronic behaviors. If asking someone why they did something stupid makes the OP the bad guy, then society sucks and everyone needs to remove the massive stick from their anuses.
SandEagle, are you the one filming this? How do you know the driver of either car won't stab or shoot you?
the guy taking the video is way more of an idiot than the guy who parked there
All three. The parker, the whiner, and SandEagle.
Not true. This is pretty much the problem with people these days. If you call someone out for being an idiot, someone (or possibly a lot of people) will turn on you instead of the person who actually deserves it.
Generally if you just go "Excuse me I cant get past your car, any chance you could move it forward a tad?" you'll get a decent response.
Going up and sticking a video camera in someones face... not so much.
Only sane one hereNice to see Alkemyst bringing some sanity back to these forums.
That wouldn't have been possible in this situation. Also, and we may disagree on this point, but I see this entire situation as a missing growth opportunity. The morons in the first car clearly weren't aware of how their actions were affecting others, so the guy who recorded the video asked a simple question to raise their awareness. The entire situation would have been defused immediately had they said "oh, we didn't realize the bikes were blocking the sidewalk." However, their response indicates one of two possibilities:
1) They did know and didn't care. That makes them huge assholes.
2) They didn't know and their pride prevented them from admitting they messed up. This also makes them assholes.
The behavior of a person recording you doesn't give you a pass for any reason whatsoever. If you parked a car with bikes hanging off of it and accidentally blocked a sidewalk, you are a moron if you can't own up to that regardless of if someone has a camera in your face.

If someone comes up to me and points a camera in my face I'm not going to address any of their points unless they take the camera out of my face. It doesn't matter if I've parked on their foot, if they want to discuss it they can turn the camera off.
Which would be true, except the asshat was recording the conflict. He wanted the response he got. If you confront someone while recording you are just asking to bring out the worse in humanity.
Everyone involved should be sterilized for the good of mankind.
