You can get a ticket here in WI just for making a comment about someone breastfeeding.

Most moms are considerate enough to at least try to be covert about it as opposed to just taking their shirt off and sitting there. When my wife breastfed, you couldn't even tell except that she had a blanket over the babt so you could guess what was going on.

It's not that hard to just not look. Sounds like some people just can't control their own actions and need to grow a backbone to not be so easily offended. What a wuss.

People are getting overly anal about our natural bodies. With that being said I do think a reasonable amount if discretion should be used when breast feeding in public, but I also think most nursing mothers would likely be discreet anyhow. I also wish people would be more freaking discreet when talking on their mobile phones when in public as well, but that is neither here nor there.

If a breast is such an abomination in your eyes, stay in your house. World Health Organization says 2 and beyond. There's a lot of sketchy info out there in this area but a commonly tossed around figure is that the world average age for weaning is 4.
Nursing toddlers eat a lot of complementary nutrition and ususally won't be nursing in public... it's a comfort stress relief IMO at older ages and not for nutrition.

A logical question would be, "Why do that when I live in a culture where healthful nutrition is easily available?"
My response would be, "Because I don't let societal norms override what I believe and what human physiology presents as being best for my child".

As to the implication that breastfeeding is akin to: public urination, public masturbation, public sex, and for fvck's sake, terrorism; Holy christ people you need to be a little objective. This is how humans naturally eat and gain emotional comfort. How can ou possibly be offended.
