why do that and put yourself at more risk? if someone is attacking you the best way to walk away from it is to end the fight as fast as possible.

at least with a women you have a better chance of knocking her down and keeping her down with one blow.

Simply because one punch from a 200lb man can be less time consuming and more effective then to try to wrestle a woman to the floor.

I think there are times when it is justified. If some psycho wench is attacking you, you can defend yourself imo. I don't think I'd punch her in the face though. Probably just sock her in the stomach to knock the wind out of her and then run like hell to get away. Sometimes my girlfriend gets a little over eager in her wrestling with me and starts pinching me. I've yelled at her to stop before cause she's leaving huge welts but she doesn't listen sometimes so I'll give her a dead leg which gets her to stop imediately. She'll whine about that for hours though so it's definitely a last resort, if I can't get away.

In retrospect, Zim, your question as phrased is vague enough to be meaningless. It's like asking "Should a person never shoot another person?" There are obvious situations where anyone would hit/shoot/stab back; the question at hand deals with minor disputes and domestic disturbances. Should a man who gets slapped by his wife hit back? Or who gets punched? What is his recourse?

Does a woman, regardless of size, intent or strength, deserve free reign to hit whomever she wants without repercussion?

I dated a girl in high school who had a habit of hitting people when she got angry, not on the face, but shoulders/chest/stomach. I put up with this while we were dating; a while after we broke up, however, we were getting coffee, and I said something that she disagreed with and she started punching me in the stomach. I grabbed her hand immediately and said, "Don't do that." And she stopped. Incidentally, we never really talked after that.

If I understand the poll, you are asking if men should EVER hit women. To that I answer no, if under normal circumstances.

Extreme circumstances (times of war, to prevent the woman from injuring herself or others) call for more extreme solutions. In those times, yes, I'd say cold cock her good!

at least twice, i have had a g/f push me (in a not nice kinda way), and my natural instinct was to protect myself. so i grabbed her arms and pushed her away. it's basically just my natural reaction to anyone coming towards me aggressivley. if i was ever hit by my g/f, i think i would have the same reaction...to defend myself. depending on the entire situation, there is a good chance that i would hit her back, not just push away or restrain her. i am absolutely NOT an agressive person, but if someone feel the need to attack me, they should not expect me to stand and take it.

Depends on situation. If a crazed b!tch is charging at me wishing to do some serious harm, I'll be happy to lay her out. if it's a girl slapping me for asking her to polish my knob, no. Also, you have to take the woman in question into account too. I doubt I could really reach back and clock a girl who weighed like 110 lbs. I weigh 240 and that would be just stupid.
