I stand by a people's right to self determination. Only spite would stand between Scotland and England from maintaining many mutual bonds and common interests.

If both sides could learn to be mature, they could separate their absolute control while maintaining much they currently share.

An interesting point. Since this would impact everyone in the UK, perhaps everyone in the UK should have a vote?

I don't think Scotland should separate from what is the UK. There will be a submarine issue and financial issues. The UK represents a world power and a close ally to the U.S.
