As I read it, the part you quoted has raised many questions.
The opening line, however, is absolute in its certainty.
As such, I defer to the doctor's wisdom that the child is good as dead already. Therefore the only proper consideration is saving the mother's life. Anything else is inhumane, could/should be considered torture even.

I agree with your point here but the case in the OP is so egregious it goes way beyond a right to choose. It's about basic health needs and respect for other human beings. I'd like to see someone who agrees with that decision try to justify it tbh.

I think you are missing my point. Her healthcare decisions are between her and her doctor of choice. Everybody else can just bugggger off.
Especially Texas, or Florida, or any other increasing number of shithole states that we won't be visiting in our retirement.
