I've been thinking about this lately, don't know why because I won't be getting married for almost another decade...

I think sons are the best.. Less maintenence, tougher, etc.. Think about girls when they grow up.. you have to watch out for potential horn dogs drooling after your own daughter, shudder as she dresses in revealing clothes on saturday night, demanding new make-up/clothes every week etc...

Although, I wouldn't mind an adorable girl as a second child.. so the older brother can look out where parents can't be.

whaddaya think?

Whatever you get, you will love them. You will be amazed at how much they teach you about love and life.

<--has some of each

Hard to say. Girls require more maintenance but may be worth it.

I know for a fact that if and when i ever do get a daughter, I'm going to be one d|ck of a dad, if she turns out to be a cutie. So with that, I'd rather have a son to continue the legacy

Boys mature later, die earlier (has something to do with maturity), and are more prone to genetic defects.

I'd always wanted a son first followed by a daughter. I have two daughters and cannot imagine my life differently.

And the talk of girls being more maintenance is just talk. Boys can be just as much maintenance provided parents are involved in their childrens' lives. But, it's a good thing! It makes life interesting, challenging and rewarding!

I would probably want daughters but I'm not sure. Whatever nature decides upon if I get married and start a family.

great.. so if you're daughter turns out ugly, which I don't doubt, you won't care?

His daughter: daddy, I'll be out late tonight, aren't you gonna be worried about me?
Dannylove: it's okay sweetie, be worry-free & roam like Anna Nicole Smith

/me wants two boys, two girls...

As Bill Cosby once said... Girls are much cleaner, much neater, and far less trouble around the house. Good and bad to both, don't sweat it...

I can't wait to have a son and teach him hockey so he can lose his spleen like me. Will be great! If it's a girl... I'd have no clue what to do with her...

ok. hehehe. i know that my wife deals better with my daughter than i do.

My own theory is simple. Boys understand the Alpha male thing so they take reprimands well. Girls just don't accept that hierchy, at least my daughter doesn't.

Don't get me wrong, she's a joy and she is good a lot more than the boys are, but when she is stubborn, she is really stubborn.

I've always said I would be happy with whatever came out as long as they were healthy. I have a two year old girl and will have another girl this June.
