Poll: Tartar sauce?

I went through a period in my life when I hated tartar sauce. It coincided with my hatred of potato salad and tuna salad, oddly enough. But now I like it.

Real honest to goodness tarter sauce contains just those ingredients, store bought crap contains those plus preservatives.

One part mayo

One part relish

A dash of vanilla

Cocktail Sauce > Tartar Sauce.

Like both cocktail and tartar sauce.

Try to avoid tartar sauce though because of the fat, but, mayo+relish is good on seafood for some reason.

Hrm.

I don't see tartar sauce as something worth getting excited about.

I like it, but just with fish sticks, maybe once a year.

People are dying in Iraq, starving in Africa, being price-gouged for gasoline in the USA... tartar sauce doesn't even register on the radar.
