Honda: 3,000 mile intervals with Valvoline MaxLife
Porsche: 3,000 mile intervals with Mobil 1
Motorcycle: Twice each year. Spring: Mobil 1 ; Fall: Cheapest oil I can find (for storage only, engine is not run for more than 10-15 minutes with this oil in it total)
I don't put enough miles on the bike to change the oil on a mileage-based interval, I average 1,500-2,000 miles a summer.

Not really... I just like to keep mine in top shape. I take good care of my cars. Oil can be pitch black as soon as 300 miles on the oil.
It's typically at 3000 though, but that's the poll option.

I've probably only changed the oil in my Porsche 6 or 7 times (because I'm lazy and forgetful) in the last 100,000 miles! Oh yeah, regular oil too, not synthetic. So I guess I'm the true crazy mofo here...174,000 miles and still going strong on the original engine!Originally posted by: ffmcobalt

Crazy? More like rich... I couldn't afford to replace my motor or car as often as they might have to with that kind of crappy treatment of the car! :Q

My first car saw about 70,000 miles during the 1.9 years I had it before I killed it with the splashing and the spinning and the crushing in the glavin!I've had my car for two months and put over 3000 miles on it.

I thought the color of the oil had nothing to do with how effective it's lubricating, meaning it's normal for the color to change to a darker shade
It's just picking up loose particles in the engine or something...
