wow at asus. maybe those stories of horribad customer care were not entirely true..
This poll lacks Intel branded Motherboards, DFI and Supermicro.
They are true.
Not everyone has to use their RMA service.
I still use them anyway, because most makers have iffy service (Gigabyte, Asus and MSI are about the same).
I've always ended up with MSI for long term use, best features/price balance at the time. Had a decent EVGA for a while as it was going at 10% retail price on Ebay.
Tried Asrock twice but had PCIe graphics stuttering/bandwidth issues with them across different platforms/generations
Always wanted to try Asus, but MSI seem to be getting closer to their quality these days.
I've been put off Gigabyte in recent generations, but this is usually down to bios issues more than anything.
Sabertooth is quite expensive. It is about $100 more than mid range motherboards. In my experience the mid ranges motherboards works decently well. I think the $100 could be better spent elsewhere unless you plan to use a cpu comsuming more than maybe 200w.I only used 3 mobos in my pc builder experience.
1. Asus Sabertooth
2. MSI GD65-Gaming
3. Gigabyte UD3H
Sabertooth is for me 100% in therms of quality, sturdiness, connectivity and pretty much everything. It's in the limit medium to high end, nothing over the top and delivers on every chance.
MSI GD-65G feels a bit cheaper, more bendy but great overall.
The Gigabyte I tryed however feeled downright cheap. Maybe I got THE bad mobo but it was really a no go. ( I know tons of people loves GB and maybe it was just me coming from a Sabertooth...)
What I learned is that I would never compromise on a motherboard, always get the best quality.
Gigabyte uses gold plated socket CPU contacts, durable MOBOs and dual BIOS. I couldn't ask for more!
Yes it does. This poll lacks Intel branded Motherboards, DFI and Supermicro.
