Thanks for participating! This poll is becausely part of my decision making process whether I should leave the current 800x600 the way it is or keep maintaining it. I've been using 1024x768 for a while. I like it.

Anyone in high school or works in a library? What resolution are the computer screens?

:Q Change it!!!

In HS they always used 640x480! The labs were run by dumbass librarians.

Design for 800x600 still. Lab computers are almost never more than 1024x768 and even then most people don't browse in fullscreen.

EDIT: Also, the results you will get from AT will be heavily skewed towards higher resolutions because of the "computer geek" effect.

1280x1024 is a VERY common LCD resolution. I can't believe you didn't put it in your poll.

this is true...
always roll your web design to 800x600 though, as the rest of thew world is prob on 14" monitors with low end vidcards.
high ers can deal easily with lower res pages were as low res have to scroll sideways and down to deal with high res pages

My Uni lab pcs arre set to 1024x768 by default but I change my settings to 1280x1024 on 17" and they load up every time

The other lab pcs which you can't change are set for 1024x768 and it sucks to use that on a 17"!

Had been using 1152 x 864 for a while on my 17" but I think it's better for my eyes if I just went back to 1024 x 768 so I can see text from further away... and so I have... and I'm happy with it.

When/if I'm in "web dev" mode, I have to go to 1280 x 720 because I need more room for the apps.
