Poll: What virus protection software do you use?

I have been using AVP for a long time but the other day a friend was infected with the melissa virus and AVP couldn't clean it. We installed McAffee and it took it right out..

So, what do you use and consider to be the best?

Norton AV2000 although i installed Inncoulate PE on my aunts and it alot less resource hungry and does a good job..

I'm using trends pc-cillin and feel really safe doing so. maybe this is because it's the only program that has ever detected a virus for me. to my knowledge never had anything while using norton before.

InoculateIT I just started using it. I had some problems with NAV

I used to have McAfee. I hated that big and buggy resource hog.

I used InnoculateIT PE for a few months. Loved it.

I recently got in on the "Hot Deals" Norton System Works 2001 Pro Ed for $15. The entire suite of Norton programs corrupted my Win98SE files (requiring a complete Format and O/S install) so I am now just using the Norton Anti-Virus and Speed Disk. Very nice. However, after the year of free upgrades is up I will probably return to InnoculateIT.

They are not. Maybe for a brand new viruses they might be, but not all viruses are brand new. All it takes is for you to download one infected file, and with no virus scanner you won't know its infected until its too late.
