Sorry to tell you this, but you are married. Legal papers or not, you are married. Now, go through the motions and get thousands of dollars worth of gifts.Originally posted by: Fmr12B

Who said anything about religion or government? Get your friends/family together, share vows to stay together, and collect presents. The religious and government aspects are always optional (you can mix and match any combination you want).Originally posted by: Fmr12B
NO! I don't beleive in Marraige and feel that Marriage is a religious event, to which I say, I am not a religious person. And I do not feel the need to "apply" for a Govt. issued license. No sense in getting the Govt. in my personal relationships.

So what's your relationship status?
Single
Dating
Engaged
Married
How long?
It's hard for me to beleive but I'm nearing 8 years of being married and strangely enough I'm still extremely attracted to my wife. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

I'm trying to give you a positive reason to do it. You may feel it is fine to live together forever. But sadly, your partner and/or your child probably doesn't agree. They may be keeping their true feelings a secret. I've just never seen it work out in the long run without a ceremony and vows. Will that be a magic cure for all that may harm you? No. But emotionally, it can go a long way.Originally posted by: Fmr12B
Have but a handful of friends and pretty much no family who would attend. We are happy, thats what matters right
Ican;t bleive your main reason is greed, to accept presents............:disgust:
