Which of these cases should I get? What I'm looking for: a nice quiet case with good cooling for mild OCing.
My parents have a Dell Dimension 4600. I can't hear it. I can sure as hell hear my current rig. Here's the guts:

Asus Nforce NFS-7 2.0 mobo
AMD Tbred 1.7
Alpha PAL8042 HS (or something, I forget the numbers)
512Mb of Crucial PC2700 Ram
Geforce4 64Mb card
couple of 80mm panaflo high vols (the ones that do something)
Antec 350 TruePower PSU
Optorite DVDburner
Plextor 12x burner
Rounded IDE cables

Here's some newegg links for the cases I'm looking at...I think you'll get an idea of the cases I find attractive (i.e., windowed cases with enough cathodes to make it look like las vegas = teh suck, I sleep in the same room as my computer, I don't need it as a light-source.)

CHIEFTEC ATX Middle Tower Case Silver - Model BX-02B-SL-B - OEM

ANTEC Black Solution Series ATX Mid-Tower Case w/ 350W Power Supply, Model SLK3700-BQE - Retail

Cooler Master Wave Master Case without Power Supply,Model:TAC-T01-E1C,Retail

Enermax CS-10181-B (Black)Server Case,12- Bay ATX Entry Server Tower Screwless Entry w/ Locks - Retail

Foxconn ''Super Case'' Series Black Mid-Tower Case w/ Front Door and 400W Power Supply,OEM

GMCorporation Black Mid-Tower ATX Case w/ Thermometer behind the Half See-through Mirror, Model X-21 (Trinity) - Retail

That's enough for now. Feel free to add others that you think would fit me! Thanks fellow Anandtechies!

Just my opinion, a case is a case is a case....

However,

I like the Aluminum cases (due to the lightness)
I like black cases...(please hunt down and shoot whoever decided on that ugly cream color that all computers used to be (oh wait mine still is...)

Also, check the following link, killer deals.

www.dalco.com

Good luck,

By the way the case has very little to do with noise, that tends to cooling fans or harddrives.

And ya should hope its your fans.

I realize this, but there are several theories as to whether 4 80mm fans or 1 120mm fan is quieter, which material blocks out sound, side panel holes/fans/louvres(sp?), etc. All of which affect the volume of sound eminating the case.
