I do like a LOT of music from the '80s, but it didn't have the depth that the '70s artists brought to their works. There were a lot of 'Concept' albums from the '70s. Just seems like a LOT better writing, talent and effort went into them:
- The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars
- Berlin by Lou Reed
- The Wall
- Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
- Quadrophenia
- The Best Years Of Our Lives - Steve Harley
- Diamond Dogs
- Stranded - Roxy Music
- Lynyrd Skynyrd pronounced 'leh-'nerd 'skin-'nerd
- Led Zeppelin (Take your pick!)
- Master Of Reality - Black Sabbath
- Solar Fire - Manfred Mann's Earth Band
- Killer - Alice Cooper
precisely.
70s beat any decade hands down

EXACTLY Once MTV came out talent wasn't necessary anymore. All you needed was some a$$ shaking or vulgarity and the video was a hit and the records sold. I don't know how many times I have herad someone say,as they were listening to the radio" I love this song it has a great video"
