I need to rectify a few things though.
* HP printers do run a cleaning cycle before printing, and occasionally even mid-printout. Just like everyone else's.
* Canon printers do not have permanent print heads. They're just separate from the ink. Epson's however do.
* Canon ink cost is way lower than HP's, even when you don't opt for the single-ink models. The separation of head and ink also brought a very fine selection of 3rd party ink that cuts the cost even further.
