Poll: Who loves pop-ups?

I must say, before I goto bed, I recall all the pop-ups that I have seen (including all the X-10 chicks ) and try to dream about the products that were advertised on them. Yes, that's right... I purchase every product and service that has been so graciously provided to me via a pop-up window.

Who else loves them?

I use Popup Ad Filter, stops them all...

I use Mozilla, one config line kills the bad popups, and allows good popups to still work! Can your ad killer do that? No? Didn't think so.

They're a necessary evil. For most sites using them, they're the difference between survival and closing up shop. Most sites are supported by ad revenue and that's fallen through the floor in the last year. Banners that would generate $3 per thousand are now down to 50 cents per thousand (or less) and that just doesn't pay the bills for many. So when you smugly turn on your pop blockers and ad killers, rest assured that you're helping to drive the sites you use out of business. No doubt you'll all be shocked when they close up shop and you'll wonder how such a thing could have happened because the site had nice loyal visitors like you.
