Don't own one, but there were some earlier threads that pointed towards the Asus and Leadtek being the top choices.

Can't really comment on Linux, but the ATI TV tuner included with AIW Radeons is considered the best by most. The ATI TV Wonder Pro, I believe, is a fairly old card that has issues in WinXP/2000.

Its a new card that I've not seen available anywhere including ATI.

Where's the Asus TV tuner in the poll, or does it not run under linux?

Get onto the new Leadtek Expert Model; runs rings around the DeLuxe Card, and seems to have compatibility with Dx9.

Anything with a Bt878 Chip is not in the same class as something with the 10-bit Connexant one, and the Software with this Leadtek Card is very slick.

There is also the Phillips Chip (9-bit), which gives a pretty good picture, but I have yet to see a Card using it which has a half-way decent Software implementation.

Know anyplace that is selling the Leadtek Expert? I checked pricewatch and they didn't have it. Added 2 more.

I have a Hauppage WinTV card that I bought back in '99, and it works fine.. No PVR functionality built in, but that's to be expected.

this is retarded of Ati, they announced that TV wonder pro quite awhile ago and its still not available anywhere.
I was interested in getting one for some PiP action. Oh well guess its good that its not available, gave me time to think about it and its a waste of money.

The leadtek expert sounds awesome! I'm a newb at this TV Tuner stuff so this may sound bad but, isn't the current Leadtek deluxe card have better quality than the leadtek expert card since there isn't dscaler support?

I have a Leadtek 2000XP Deluxe. The picture on it is pretty nice. I can't say much about the sound cuz I haven't quite gotten that figured out yet. Also the card's Crossbar driver can be a pain to install.

Using a 2000XP Deluxe also. Good card for the money, but I still like ATI. I had one of their cards and it was pretty faithful to me for a couple of years.

I was looking at the Hauppauge PVR-250 for a tuner card when I get ready to purchase one later this year.

ATI has the best (consumer) signal processor for TV right now. Unfortunately, you typically need it on a Radeon =)
