I think it's less egotistical to make a statement about satisfaction in ones personal life than it is to make a statement about everyone based on ones personal life.

who says you need drugs to live? i enjoyed my teen years, college years etc. I didn't need drugs to have fun.

I was in sports in high school and college. they test for shit. i seen no reason to ruin that with drugs.

I smoke on the weekends or when I have time. I'd rather get high than drunk these days, especially as my hangovers seem to be getting worse as I get older.

I used to smoke every day for a good 5 years or so post college. I just dropped it cold turkey 6 months ago because I felt like taking a bit of a break. Every once in awhile, I get the urge to smoke again. I certainly prefer it to alcohol because hangovers have always sucked.

Getting arrested for simple possession won't send you to prison...unless you're on probation/parole.
Getting sent to the county jail is NOT going to prison. If you can't distinguish between the two, then smoking marijuana is equal to shooting heroin...

Since I'm not aware of any state in the USA where simple possession of marijuana is a felony, it's highly unlikely that any of the "33,655 state inmates and 10,785 federal inmates behind bars for marijuana offenses" are there because they were caught with a small amount of pot. Multiple ounces/pounds for sale? Probably...large scale operations/sales, etc.
