Got my first day pre-order today. I'm strongly considering refusing the shipment due to how google handled this mess. They should at the very least refund shipping charges for those who pre-ordered.

they offer a one-day pass, which is supposed to add 10% to your total purchase price. They didn't add that for me though :awe:

is the FST board allowing sale of this since I know they banned touchpad sales when they were on firesale. I got mine yesterday and after having played with it, I dont feel its that radical of a change over my touchpad running CM9 nightlys.

doesn't seem to be disallowed for now, but would probably get banned if a trend of price gouging appears.

My tablet arrived today. Did not have much time to poke around with it, but it seems great so far. I did notice a bunch of lag, and the touchscreen would not always respond to touch. Seems better after the update, though. Has anyone else encountered similar issues?

Got my Google Play Store order today even though I called to cancel it. I also have an order with J&R which is on backorder so who knows when it'll arrive.

Should I keep the Play Store order or send it back? The price difference between the two is over $50 (J&R had a coupon, no tax, free shipping).

The DPI-160 thing is pretty neat.

Mine arrived today. It feels sluggish compared to my S3 so far.

The biggest slowdown I have seen is when I unlock the device. After entering my PIN (policy pushed to device after syncing work e-mail), it hangs for about 7-8 seconds before going to the home screen.

Haven't seen any slow down on mine. so far it has definitely been faster than my gnex

Unlocked and rooted and so far everything is very smooth. Chrome definitely loads pages faster on the nexus 7 than my gnex.
Battery life seems good as well. Been playing games for 45 minutes and only used 10%.

Suggest apps and widgets? I saw an article yesterday about best widget apps for jellybean/nexus 7 but now i can't find it.

I caved and opened my Google Play Store order. This thing is seriously awesome. I am immediately used to the 7" size.

Enjoying mine so far also! Although the keyboard is going to take some getting use to , for whatever reason punctuation doesn't seem to tail words as well as it seems to on my gnex. Also I really wish it had a vibration function, for typing on a keyboard like this I appreciate the feedback.

It has however made my gnex feel small

I suspect I am going to have quite a bit of fun with this thing, although for now just going to leave it stock to get use to it.

Can I ask you what are the advantages of rooting the Nexus 7? I had a rooted Kindle Fire, but the only reason I did that was to install ICS.
