See the thing with Corona is it is the most overrated beer in existence, you find all these quasi-beer drinkers who flock to it because they are trying to convince themselves they are in Cancun! The worst beer that I have ever had was when I was studying abroad in Europe. I was in Rome at the time, and the beer was called Splugen. I'm pretty sure that is Italian for "we took water from a pothole, threw in yeast and dirt form the floor of the coliseum, brewed it, bottled it and then shoved the tip of the bottle up someone's ass before we sealed it." I tried a drink of it before my buddy told me that he picked it up from a store that was selling it for 34 euro cents per liter. :disgust:

Here in the US, I have to vote for Natty Ice as the worst beer. It tastes TERRIBLE, but it does it's job. Gets you hammered.

Actually, the worst beer to ever have been produced is Viper Beer. It was the run off from another beer, Carling's Black Label beer. Viper is the only beer I have ever taken one sip, spit it out, and never touched it again.


But since it isn't on the list, I chose PBR. It's the only beer that gives you morning-after beer farts that you can actually see. Hovers around the ground like a greenish fog.

The problem with this poll seems to be that the more widely available nasty beers will always win because obviously more people have tried them. There's nothing really that can be done about that, I guess. If many of you had had Southpaw, I'm sure you would have rated it as worse than Natty Lite and probably even the BEAST. Some of you could probably say the same for a lesser-known nasty beer that I haven't tried (though I can't imagine anything worse than Southpaw ).

As for voting on Corona and Keystone, I just have to say again that:

No/Little tasting beer > Nasty, instant hangover, butt soup in the morning beer. If you think Keystone Light and Corona are bad, then you've never had some of the other listings in the poll. This is not a poll about price to taste ratio, either.

And whomever called for Guinness to be put on the list should be shot.

I've been to several beer tasting parties... And, I've drank more than my fair share of beer...

Without a doubt (and no one has even mentioned these yet)
Blatz is absolutely the worst beer there is in the U.S. (made by An. Busch) I think it's the scum from the bottom of the barrel or something. Falling down drunk, I still can't stand the taste. It's unswallowable.

From Canada (I've only had 50 or so different varieties from Canada) I'd have to say that Labatts Carnival is the worst. It won "worst beer" at two beer drinking parties I was at, and the competition wasn't even close.

For you "any non-alcoholic beer sucks" people. Bullsh!t. O'Doull's is far from the worst beer out there. While not a personal favorite, it's still one of the slightly more expensive beers.

My favorite: Laurentide (sold only in the province of Quebec... worth the road trip for me every once in a while if I'm in northern NY) Also, St Pauli Girl, if it's fresh... it gets skunky easily.


I'll also vote for Genessee, Schaeffer, and Schlitz as crappy beers.

Black Label is one of the better cheap cheap beers... Known in college as black labs, we'd get several "kennels" of them each week.

I don't believe any of you folks come even close to my beer drinking (i.e. alcoholism) experience. I up around 400,000ozs of beer consumed (15+ years ). I used to drink....Ranier, Black Label, Strohs, MGD, Keystone, and a whole bunch of Coors <---the banquet beer My friends did buy a 6 pack of unbranded 'Lite' beer for my birthday once. Not the stuff that Miller makes. It wasn't too bad since I had heard it was actually Blatz. If you really aren't having a good day, try a couple of 40ozs (or 45ozs...) of Mickey's Ice or Colt Ice. That'll bring you down to Earth, so to speak...
