BTW, this is a very strange poll. Are these the kinds of things that just "pop" into some people's heads?

I would consider anyone that would use someone's commitment to abstinence as a condition of marriage to be extremely self centered. Anyone that would put that kind of a condition on a marriage, might also add other unpleasant restrictions as time goes on.

I'd be afraid, very afraid of where that could lead. No thanks!

This is actually a pretty interesting question, but to me the answer is pretty obvious - there is no way I would enter into such a marriage, because physical love is an integral part of any loving romantic relationship. I might well consider giving up a particular kind of sexual contact (possibly even, say, vaginal intercourse) for the sake of a uniquely committed, loving relationship, but any relationship in which all sex were somehow off-limits would be totally unacceptable. I think most people, regardless of gender, would say the same thing.

I'll do it a thousand times if I have to. Remember, the most attractive part of a woman's body is her mind

Ahem - to each his own, but to me even the most intellectually appealing woman had better love sex, or our relationship will not last more than a few dates.

The question of kissing has come up a few times...I guess that I would say it includes quick, small kisses for sure, but tongue is out of the question.

Marrying someone doesn't mean giving up sex forever. It means, no sex with anyone other than your love. I think it's all good. Being able to be with your love and having sex with her forever. But freaking the society kind of killed the meaning of marriage. People get married and divorce like everyday. JAcked up.

Good lord, what is wrong with this person that they can't have any physical contact? Do they live in a bubble?

If I only wanted an intellectual relationship, I could do that over the internet and spare myself having to share the same quarters, food bills, etc. :Q

It's called a hypothetical question. I don't know anyone who is THAT bad, I'm mostly trying to see how many people are willing to give up all aspects of their own sexuality for this thing we call true love.

I have the be all end all solution to this poll: simply don't get married. Why cut yourself off?

Take the relationship as far as you can without getting married. All that is is extra baggage in a relationship anyways, there has to be thrills, and to some people, once they are married, they have you locked in and don't have to worry about being their true selves, this is where the no sex after marriage problem usually comes in. They were just the sexual tyrannasaurus rex to get you locked in.

Sheesh.. Can someone who is married give a more opptimistic POV, or is it really that bad?

No sex before marriage, no sex after marriage; so what's the downside here?
The upside: plenty neffing time cause you have no kids and wife doesn't want to play.

no, i would not. while in concept it's fine with me, i would have to say i know myself better.

after a year or so i'd be on a trip and meet some cute lady. i'd think about what i'm missing out on and one thing would lead to another. it's a shame, but the truth.

so since i'm not down with cheating, i'd have to say no.

LOL! I am sorry, I just found that hysterical for some reason. As for me, I would marry someone I couldn't have sex with. But not if it required no kissing, or any form of physical closeness. I would need that to keep me happy, but if I truly loved someone, I love them for what they can do for me out of bed too, not just in it. I would like to think that if I chose to be with this person, we have more in common than just between the sheets, and that if I were to lose them, it would affect me more than not being able to get my rocks off with them would.

Sheesh.. Can someone who is married give a more opptimistic POV, or is it really that bad?

Let's see, between both of you working, taking care of the house, cooking, cleaning, kids.... oh yeah, theres lots of time for nooky. At night, when the kids are asleep. And your both so worn out you don't want to do anything but crawl into bed and die. But hey, theres always weekends!

People that voted Yes and believe they can live without sex are just talking out of their a$$. You can say all you want about what you CAN DO but when it comes down to actually doing it <----well thats another question for you. Please don't get this question mixed up with loving someone. From the way he sentenced his question, it seems like you're able to be with that someone you love but you can't touch her nor ever have her. Love isnt a spiritual thing where you think about it all the damn thing. It also involved actions and many other elements. If you ask me I'll say you won't even stand a chance once you meet other more attractive women.
