ADSL, 1mb/256k rated, but the ADSL modem says the connection is 1152/280k

Much nicer than my old 600/128 cable!

Verizon DSL 768down 128up

The only other Broadband provider in my region (erie, pa) is Adelphia, they are faster but the connection randomly drops, horrible for games.

I have Charter Cable and using an internet speed test site it says I have 4Meg download, not sure upload. I think that is way above the package I pay for though which should be about 1Meg or less

Grrr...still stuck on 56k. Tried to get DSL but I don't have the right wiring in my house. The problem is I can't find out from the phone company if I have the wrong wiring in my house or outside the house(if it's outside then I can never get dsl). I guess I am stuck with 56k for a long time or until I can afford Cable internet...

I am also at a college with a T1. I just ran the broadband tester and got 4194kbps download and 2198kbps upload, now that is good! My test
