I voted that I love my work.
Only problem is that I only get to spend about half the time at my job doing what I really consider "my work" to be.
I'm a software dev for a large "infoimaging" company. Think photographic film, but our plant actually makes medical laser imaging films for MRI's, CRT's, mammograms, etc.
I really love developing software.
There is nothing quite as satisfying as getting something finished that works well and helps people do their jobs better, faster, easier.
But what I don't love is dealing with FDA regulations since our films are considered a medical device, spending hours doing monotonous testing, writing technical documentation, and dealing with stupid politics.
Nothing is as irritating as spending 2 days writing a simple application, then taking a month to get all the documentation and validation done. I understand the need to have good validation for software that could impact the quality of a product that is used as a tool for diagnosing things like cancer, but dealing with the FDA is a definite PITA.
