Pollen is suck

Spring has sprung down here in Georgia, and with a vengence. All the cars are yellow, trucks going down the highway produce minature whirlwinds of thick yellow dust.

My sinuses are so bad that I have had to go to the doctor just to get a prescription nose inhaler to keep my sinuses from cracking and becoming infected. Wife is just as bad. I love spring, but this pollen sh!t is crazy.

Sucks especially bad when I've just washed my truck..it did look nice for awhile. I'm the only one in the family that doesn't have sinus problems with pollen. Lucky me

Today we built a pollenman, then we had a big ol' pollenball fight. Later, a truck with a pollenblade came through and we were able to move our cars...

Where in Georgia are you? I am in Atlanta and it is the same here. Everything is covered in yellow pollen. I left the window open in the computer room one night last week and it was all over my desk and monitor!

I actually just went to the doctor today for same thing. I sinuses have been killing me.

I was prescribed:

1. Allegra
2. Chlorpheniramine
3. Nasonex (nasal spray)

I have only taken one dose of Allegra and nasonex, but I already feel a little better. I really need to take #2, but he said that will knock me out and only to take it at night.

The one really good benefit of being in the military is all medical care and medicine is free

The good thing about pollen is Benadryl! Knocks me flat on my arse after about 30 minutes. My throat was irritated and my eyes were watering last night, just popped a Benadryl and I was fine in 30 minutes and passed out at 11pm (NOT normal for me, that's at least 2 hours early).

I am in Atlanta as well, This pollen kills me, sore throat sinus problems etc...
I hope i get used to it sometime, I have only been here two years and where I moved from didn't have this kinda stuff. :disgust:

is the Allegra a steroid?
