Theres a missing person from my school and the police are using polygraph tests to examine people and find a person of interest. Except I always thought that polygraph tests weren't usable in court? I'd not heard of this before.

The test itself is brutally unreliable. What they're looking for is people who are extremely nervous because the suspect thinks the test is reliable.

Polygraphs are a joke and aren't taken seriously by anyone who knows anything in the judicial system. Sadly there are still lots of people who don't know anything both in and around the judicial system. They may not be accepted in court thankfully but sadly they are still used sometimes.

I would absolutely be as helpful as possible, and seeing as how the test would not assist them in any way, I would decline and save them the time.
