LOL. Billy acting gay ruined his career but Freddie acting gay way OK. Odd world we live in.

Well, Freddie was openly gay and appealed to a wide audience who was generally more accepting of his lifestyle. Billy appealed to the hardcore homo hating rural youth of America so it's not surprising that this video killed his career.

It is a pretty funny video though.

There is a huge movement back towards physical mediums, it never went away for audiophiles. In my experience someone under 25 is not only more enthusiastic about vinyl but also more knowledgeable than someone over 40

But it was obvious to everyone from the get go that Freddie was gay which is a different story. Same with Elton John, even though he made his mark in an era where gay people where looked down upon it didn't matter because he was obviously gay...yet very talented.

Whether Billy Squier was/is gay is irrelevant since he was never seen as gay from the beginning. Think of what would have happened to Judas Priest if Rob Halford had come out of the closet in the 80s?? The band would have died immediately.
