148 million is way out of bounds for this. No doubt they were slandered as far as the legal system goes, but you can't get blood out of a turnip. He don't have the money and we don't have a debtors prison system.
The absurdity in this case is that they were slandered in the first place. They know they won't get that much money and I doubt anyone expects Rudy to pay up. He will be running straight to bankruptcy court after the appeals are done.

While the magnitude of the award is great, the plaintiffs will only ever see a small fraction of that. If anything at all.

Of course this settlement is out of bounds. Let’s just fine him 10k and kill any future deterrent when one of your Trumptards or your hero ruins the life of a private citizen.

He has plenty of cash given that he spends $24k a year on cigars and is worth $50 mill!

You make it sound like I defended him when clearly I did not.
I don't have any Trumptards.
My hero?
Who is that?

How do you know how much he spends on cigars every year?

I doubt that after all this he is worth $50 million, which is still way less than $148 million.

"Back in 2018, Mr Giuliani's divorce case heard claims of his lavish spending. His ex-wife, Judith Giuliani, said that in a five-month period he spent nearly a million dollars.
This was said to include $12,012 on cigars, $7,131 on fountain pens, $286,000 on an alleged mistress, $447,938 "for his own enjoyment" and $165,000 on travel"

I doubt that after all this he is worth $50 million, which is still way less than $148 million.
So take what he's got and garnish his earnings until he's paid it off. He can learn to live like the little people he trampled on. He might end up a better person.

Most tales from ex-wives are highly exaggerated esp during a divorce ... Regardless I think $148 million is excessive IMO no matter who it is.

Rudy is reaping a small fraction of the shitty behavior he has sown. Get fuct asshat, and anyone who thinks this is unreasonable can get fuct too, because they’re endorsing and encouraging stochastic terrorism, case closed

The guy you voted for. You are partially responsible for the predicament of Ruby Freeman and Shea Moss.

Absent the 148M how are you supposed to deter the future ruination of innocent civilians?? Part of that is punitive.

Lel, for devout tribalists, attacking people is a feature not a bug, thus butt hurt when held responsible in a very capitalist way.

Rudy just can't catch a break

I saw a brief clip of him being interviewed after walking out of court and he said something along the lines of "I didnt lie. I told the truth". Dude just lost a defamation case on the very topic, and repeats his lies anyway.

So yeah, not surprising that he's being sued again.
I saw that clip from a right wing channel.
Rudy deserves the smack down.

No, I am not responsible for either of these women.

Way too much money for the offense he was convicted of, punitive or not. Good luck getting that blood out of that turnip.
