City Council Approves Mandatory Condom Law For Adult Film*Stars

LOS ANGELES (CBS)*— The Los Angeles City Council approved a new law Tuesday that will require adult film stars to use condoms.

The council tentatively approved the ordinance, which will require all performers in adult videos to use condoms, last week.

Ordinance supporters say the measure is needed to prevent the spread of HIV, but the adult video industry’s trade association, the Free Speech Coalition, says condoms are not necessary.

Los Angeles is the first city in the nation to approve a law requiring actors to use protection during sexual intercourse.

The truth is those porn stars just arent having that much unprotected sex outside their jobs. They arent SPREADING diseases aside from within their own community. If at all (since porn stars get tested once a month and the average california skank never does unless she gets a burning or itching).

This will accomplish nothing. Its feel-good legislation (amusing considering the issue) and will cost tax-payers money. The average big-time porn company (New Sensations and Evil Empire) can afford day trips outside of LA to make their movies. Its not like they require a shitload of set decorating and special FX. Heck they dont even use studios now, they just find a rich dude who's willing to donate his house for the day in exchange for either sex or a bunch of cash.

Small companies will just lie about where they filmed it. Whose gonna know? Its not like they go out of their way to show street signs and house numbers while filming. And while you do have to state where the records are kept, thats not the same as filming.

We really only need a dozen good movies that exemplify each decade. Hairy bush on grainy film for the 70's. Trim bush and poofy hair on video for the 80's.
90's actually had some good variety so we made need a dozen for both film and video.
2000's just need one great movie for each fetish and let it be.
2010's dont seem to be special other than making HD mainstream.
