Portable Music

I'm looking for a portable music player it needs to be durable, affordable and play mp3s.

Got any suggestions?

I looked at those, but they are a bit expensive. I was hoping to find something cheaper.

Creative Zen NX. They're clunkier devices but cheaper and have larger storage quite often. Possibly better battery life as well.

I 3rd that, love my Ipod.

Go for solidstate players, they're ideal for an active lifestyle, runing snowboarding, etc. If you try doing that with an iPod, it'll work.. just not for long, bad sectors.

Well as long as you don't tape yer iPod to your forehead and ram into a tree head first I don't see you fubaring an iPod snowboarding. There are even skiing/board jackets specifically designed for the iPod.

EDIT: Solid state players are nice if you only want to carry a few albums around w/you. But I'd rather have all my music at my finger tips.
