Is it possible to run SETI on a computer that isn't connected to the internet by using one that is to download the WU's to be processed, copy over to the other machine, let it cruch, copy the results back over to the connected machine and dump them?
One way i've found that is very easy is to use Setihide.
set it up using the CLI on any computer and set the cache level, then in the cache screen in an "import from" and "export to" button.
The program is not the most popular here since you do need to put a shortcut to it in the startup forder to get it to run on xp, but if suits my needs quite nicely.
I have done the very thing simply by setting up a second folder with Driver and the client in then downloadeding a boatload of units.
Then save the folder onto a removeable storage medium (floppy, USB flash card/stick, CDR) and send it over. When the results have been completed reverse the process and upload.
However be realistic about how many your rig will crunch as SETI1 is still on limited time of course. (If only they would announce the day)
Edit: The bad news is that last time I checked BOINC/SETI2 was not able to support this.
