Portal 2 on PS3 - Truly the best version.

If they start adding PS3 support like they did with Mac support for other Valve titles that would indeed kick ass. Be able to choose PS3 or PC/MAC and load up Left 4 Dead 2 or Half-Life 2

Which I was considering picking up Orange Box on PS3 so I could rip through the games on my big TV. However I hear it has some issues in the port. Enough to piss Gabe Newell off to bad mouth the system for awhile and skip Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 on it and such. Now he's changed his mind on the hardware with Steam on the PS3.

That & if cross steam games like Orange Box on PC & PS3 do happen. Will people that bought the PS3 port get updates or only people that own it on the PC would get it on PS3 too? If it does happen that is....

It will use Steam just like on PC. Well I think you can use a mix of both if you have PSN friends but you don't have to use PSN for playing with others & such.

You will also be able to play with PC/MAC users too.

That is if you like Steam.

34.99 on amazon (credit there is as good as cash to me, especially with prime). Pretty sweet deal considering it comes with the PC version which is going for $10 more from steam itself.

Yeah, jumped on the PS3 Amazon deal. Rarely pay full price for games these days. But I think Portal is worth it, and Amazon credit is as good as cash to me.

Orange box was one of the most solid purchases you could make. what was it.. .$30-40 when it came out? I already had HL2 so I gifted the OJ box copy to a friend. Spent a couple hundred hours alone playing TF2.

I gotta agree with you on this. It was a great deal, with everything included. But Portal was easy and kinda boring for me. I didn't care for TF2, and Half life seemed extremely repetative to me. Maybe I am in the minority on that, but while it was a lot of gaming for a small price, none of it really appealed to me.

Yeah I guess so. I mean I really liked valve's older pre-steam games. But now every time I buy one of their newer games it's so shallow.

50$. Truth be told I stopped playing TF2 after the heavy update and only started again during sniper/spy update. I spent nearly 2000 hours idling for hats.

Look everyone is entitled to not liking or liking. Let's stick with the topic of Portal 2 on the PS3 & steam coming to the PS3.

Like Left4Dead 1 & 2. I look forward to the custom campaigns people make to extend the life of the game.

Which if this is allowed while playing on the PS3. That's gonna be killer for Portal 2. Playing custom co-op campaigns.

I dunno, glad he finally came around to the correct view regarding the PS3.

Not that I'd ever buy a Valve game on a console, ever. Those belong on my PC. But I'm glad they are taking titles on PS3 seriously now, after what they did for the Orange Box.
