Dual-core A9's + the MALI400 will make this a VERY fast budget tablet. Hell my NOVO 7 advanced with a single cpu/MAIL400 is pretty quick, this thing should scream. Battery looks kinda on the lowish side and a 1.3 MP camera is close to useless but besides that, great bang/buck factor here IMO..

Lack of GPS is not a deal-killer, if you also have an Android phone with GPS/bluetooth and the tablet has bluetooth.

On my HP Touchpad tablet running Android, it lacks GPS. However, you use a free app on the tablet to receive GPS information from an external bluetooth GPS source (e.g., a bluetooth GPS puck). You could buy a cheap bluetooth GPS puck from ebay, or you could also use your phone and run a different free app on your phone to make your phone act like a NMEA standard bluetooth GPS device. Then, the tablet pairs with the phone, and the phone passes GPS information to the tablet, et voila! you have GPS on your tablet. I verified this works on my Touchpad tablet.

Unfortunately this Ramos tablet does not have bluetooth either. I don't know if there is a way to pass GPS info from your phone to the tablet via wifi (e.g., ad-hoc network), anyone know about that?

Bluetooth opens some options that may or may not be deal killers. Like using an external keyboard, mouse, game controller, GPS puck, file transfer to phone/PC, etc. If you never use those features, not a deal killer and you could sync files via WiFi.

Tablet without Bluetooth?

No thanks

Yup, your gonna want it, I needed it to run "Torque" which needs a bluetooth connection to the device scanning the OBD2 in your car so I wound up flashing a custom ROM to get it but it's not working very well with my N7A, I may need to try a different dongle that's more Linux friendly.

Yea, I'd wait a bit to see how others fare, at least they've done something about the major gripe of lower priced "7 tabs, upping the resolution from what was primarily 800X480 to 1024X600..

Well, for MC7 or XBMC it would be fine. Other maufacturers would need network capability on their equipment and it would require a wireless network in the house.

For most of us this would be fine, but for the general public it may not be yet. I work for a ISP and you'd be suprised on the number of people with no wireless in the house.

Bluetooth is a life saver. In addition to all else mentioned, I am tethering to phone via it. Which makes tablet useful where you have no internet connection.

The 3-4 hours of battery life.....? That's a killer...

Depends on what your doing, that's about all I get with the N7A IF I'm playing games but for general surfing, email, ect it's closer to 7 hrs. If this tab can only manage 3-4 hours just web surfing, ect that would suck..

On mine a lot just depends on what your doing with it, if your playing Asphalt5 for example expect to use up the batt much quicker than web browsing..

This isn't the real W17 Pro. The real one lists an IPS screen and a 5000 mAh battery. There are other sites advertising the W17 Pro as well, but with a 3200 mAh battery, so I guess this is at least a little better with a 4000 mAh battery. I am curious to see how the dual core Amlogic 8726-MX chip performs, but I guess we will have to wait until someone does a review on the chip, along with the dual core Rockchip 3066.

thanks justme I see that android sales has it listed with ips and 500mah battery.

http://android-sale.com/ramos-w17pro-dual-core-android-tablet.html
same price

it could be just miss listed on the op site since its new...unsure

ramos website says NOT IPS and has no mention of HDMI

now android-sale does not say IPS so I think there is a lot of confusion since its just been released.

Kindle Fire has ~6 hours real-world battery life, but no webcam or mic if you need those, and no SD card for using as a media player away from wifi on a trip.
