<< Do you have a CD burner? Do you hate sending CDs labeled with felt-tip pen writing or cheap-looking stickers to your clients? Then try the EZ/CDPrint from Basic Micro, Inc. This is a reworked Epson ink-jet printer designed to make your CD-R disks look professional by printing directly on CDs (special CDs with a printable surface are required, but readily available, and at 50 cents or less in volume). Although such printers have been available before, they've always sold for well over a grand--putting them out of reach for most people. But this model sells for just $399, and can function as a regular letter-size printer, at up to 2,880 by 720 dpi, as well. As an added bonus, a tray for printing directly on business-card size CD-Rs will soon be available for just $20--one is also expected for the 3-inch mini CD-Rs. >>

Get it here for $349. It's cheaper than silk screen and better than cd labels. Gonna get me one to do CDs for my wedding!

C-60 No Good? For a cd printer this is cheap. All others are quite expensive. The only thing I'm worried about is smudging.

You need to buy special CD media that is made for inkjet printers, or you will end up with a mess. The media tends to be rather expensive for personal use.

what's wrong with the stickers for the CDs? those look alright and they work with any printer. it is a little tricky at first to get it to work, but with will work with any CD media and any printer.

<< Anyone know where I can buy one of these Looks like a nice little gadget for not too expensive a price. >>

Most of these cool gadgets that you can't get in the U.S., you can almost defintely get in Japan or Hong Kong. There's a reason why there are Chinese characters on that CD Hehe, but if you know someone over there, you can get them to pick one up for you. Looks pretty cool

If you laser print the stick on labels they seem to hold up better than
if you inkjet print them. If you do use an inkjet, don't do too much
artwork. The ink seems to hurt the adhesive and the labels can peel.
Never use a labeled CDR in a car CD player unless you are willing
to take a chance on it peeling off in the player -- not worth the risk IMHO.

Hey Ivol,

Let us know if it is a hot deal after you get it and have tried it. Right
now it is just low cost, but may be a bad deal if the quality is bad.

A few of the older Canon printers can do that, BJC-6000 for sure, and maybe the 4x00 and 5000 series. They have a fat media pass through on the back and you put the CDR media in a special case to hold it.

Funny, I've never had a problem with a label coming off, and I have around 300 CDs with labels, most with full artwork. Maybe some of the goo gone is spilling into your collection from the AOL cases.

I've never had any problem with a Sharpie rubbing off either! As much burning as I do, I found labels just take too long and using a Sharpie to write "Beatles White Album" seems to work pretty well.

Alright, where does one get this case? I've got a BJC-6000 that I paid 10 Bucks for at Best Buy.

Why not u make it at home. Procedure

1. Get a thick paper or cardboard sheet (letter size).
2. Place a CD at the middle of the paper. Mark outer edges.
3. Scan this sheet (for use as template while editing CD text/graphics on computer). ---- optional ---
4. Cut out sheet at mark (circular one)
5. take another letter normal paper
6. Paste both the sheets togeather.

Now your case is ready. Just place the CD in the circular slot and print.

Enjoy
