possible hot deal... Dell selling Apple's iPods

ACK! We got the 10GB iPods in at work a few weeks ago and I've been patiently waiting for the 20GB ones to come in so I can get 10% + 10% off them at work (I work at Target). And after just reading that article it looks like we'll only be selling the 10GB version. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! Now I gotta wait for a hot deal from dell.com ... Blech, I planned to buy one as soon as we got the 20GB in stock.

I have the 20GB Windows Ipod. Forget about Xplay and the included MMJB. Ephpod is the way to go. The Ipod also can definietely be used on MAC and PC. You just need to leave it formatted as HFS and use Ephpod with Mac Opener on the PC. Xplay will also work in the same fashion since Mediafour makes Mac Opener, it is part of Xplay.

BUT - Xplay is very slow at transferring files and costs $30. Ephpod is free. If you do your homework by heading over to Ipod Lounge, you will see that every question in this thread can be answered positively. As far as competition like Zen, if you can afford the ipod, go for it, it still is the best mp3 player and I haven't read a review yet where the Zen has come out on top. Archos is small time, so buyer beware.

BTW the archos can play not only mp3 but divx too .
Seems to be the only standalone version out there for the moment.
