Next time ask if you can try them out. Walk over to them and pretend to plug something in, then start jamming with your air guitar.
Then tell him they sound like sh!t.
So what you are trying to say is that they were pushing Bose?Originally posted by: rasputinj...I have not had someone try to pull that scam on me in 12 years, at the time I worked for a high end audio shop and had a great time harassing them about the cheap ass speakers they had, no name, bad quality if you open them up, the speakers themselves tweeter, woofer, midrange are 2-4 dollar each speakers from China, Mexico at any big swap meet, or electronics dealer..
Wow, I live right next to that Hollywood Video It's the one with Carls Jr., Popeyes and Savemart next to it, right?Originally posted by: El Norm

Ok, so i was doing alot of errands today and stopped at an auto store this morning and a explorer pulls up and try's selling me this cheap looking speaker equipment that has a price tag in big letters $1999.99, i was thinking "yeah right". Then maybe 4 hours later 8 miles away from the first spot, another guy pulls up to me when i'm walking away from an ATM. Same deal selling some 1.5k speakers and trying to sell them for cheap.
The first time i really just ignored it and didn;t bother getting any info like brand. The second time really got me interested since this thing seemed big if so many people were doing it. found out the brand was "Skyline" and i looked it up and all i could find was "SkyLine AD-900SL" with a bunch of big auctions without a single bid.
Anyways, keep an eye out. BTW no i did not buy anything from either one . Kinda sad tho that they picked me twice, either they thought i was really stupid or had some money, thing is, i was working on my car so i was all dirty so i'm guessing they thought really stupid.

Haha... you rock!Anyway, when the van was leaving, I thought I would follow them just to see where they were going. They went to a nice restraunt here in town. After they went in, I went to their van, slashed two tires, and keyed the back of it with the words "SCAM VAN". I didn't wait around, but I bet those guys were ticked off! hahaha!
