I really haven't been keeping track of the latest and greatest over the last year, attempting to get up to speed.
I've been happy with my current setup for awhile, DFI Nforce2, Athlon XP mobile @ 1.8, however I'm looking for an upgrade. As always though,its not that simple.
Realistically all I want to change is the CPU an motherboard which presents the issue of if its even worth the upgrade. I currently have two sticks of Geil Ultra-X ram(TCCD with brainpower PCB), which at the time was second only to the wonderful sticks G.Skill made so they're still moderately top knotch. I also have a twinked out 6800 Ultra Extreme(AGP, and overclocked as well) which I still deem worthy of another year or two. I fully intend to overclock.
Is it honestly even worth the upgrade? I doubt I could go dual core, whats really the best I could do aside from boards like this that are already almost two years old?
