.. But the only other option is AT&T DSL. If I could get U-Verse service I probably wouldn't question it. But I've been having some billing problems, and some weird charges. After we moved they kept the line at the old apartment running for a month and sent us a bill for it. Granted, they fixed it instantly and issued a credit, it still shouldn't have happened.
I'm also faced with my router spazzing out after a day and having to be reset because of the TERRIBLE ARP STORMS. I tried to call tech support, but you know the deal there, they have no idea what I'm talking about.. but I've taken the courses and put I the hours for CCNA, and 5,000-7,000 ARP packets in 2 minutes is nowhere near normal. The techs are worthless, replacing a modem doesn't work (3 times), because its their network, and should technically be filtered at their closet.
Ontop of that... thinking about signing up for Netflix, but the 250GB/mo limit would be a huge cripple.. some would say 250Gb is 'a lot'.. I say nay.. Netflix is around 1.5-1.7Gb/hr for HD media.. and most of the content I would be viewing is in HD.. that 250Gb doesn't last very long.
So has anyone used ATT DSL before.. prefrerably, Central IL Area?
Sorry if this doesn't exactly belong here, it just seems to be the most fitting.
