Well i accidently touched the negative and postive of the WOL together, BOOM computers shuts off. Try to start it back up (4 times), lights ands LEDs just flicker.

Sign of fried board, yes...

Well i was talking to my bro and he said something about i just have to let the board sit for awhile and try to boot it up (Around an hour). Havent done that yet, since the mobo JUST fried (About 15 minutes ago).

I've had the board for less than 6 months, so it should be under Epox warranty. I havent modified anythign to the board, but i HAVE painted the caps with UV paint. Will that effect my chances for a RMA?

Not for sure how Epox RMAs work, so if anyone could inform me how to go about doing this. That would be great.

On a lighter note, hopefully i can get a rev 2.x. If i cant RMA it will just go out and buy a 8RDA+ from Newegg.

Not sure because I haven't tried it but I would think that your "paint mod" might reduce your chances of RMA success. Does the UV paint show up that well in "normal" light? I think I would get the RMA # from Epox, pack it up and hope. Don't mention the paint mod. Just tell them the board won't boot. Now, before anyone gets their shorts in a wad, I'm not suggesting that he flat lie to them: Just omit the extraneous information.
BTW, what did you touch together exactly and why? Have you tried unplugging the Power supply for a bit and then plugging it back in? You might also want to try and clear the CMOS. Not sure if any of this will help but it can't hurt.

Paint shows up fine in normal light, but looks INSANELY better in UV light.

I can remove the paint with some paint remover i believe..

Why i did it? I was testing to see if some LEDs would power off of it, so i can do some modding (WOL is suppose to be 5v).

I have tried unplugging and back in. Also tried clearing cmos. Right now it is sitting behind me. Has been about 40 minutes since i touched it. Gonna wait about an hour to try it again. Possibly wait for the "diodes" or "resistors" to cool.

Just tried it again, no go.

Guess i should RMA. Do you think they will RMA it or should i try removing the paint first?

If you can do so without leaving behind the strong smell of paint remover, why not? My concern is that if they see the paint, they will immediately deny your replacement based soley on that; without even going through the testing process. If the "cure" is worse than the sickness (smell worse than the sight), then leave it alone. Who knows, they may not even look at it.
One last thing you might want to check is the switch. You can test this by bypassing it. Pull the Power Switch connectors off of the pins on the MB, making note as to where they came from. Then "short" or cross the two pins with a flat blade screwdriver and see if the system starts. Yes, it is a momentary switch but maybe something is fused.
It's really your call but the shipping cost is pretty reasonable compared to a new MB. It's probably worth that cost just to see what they will do. What's the worse that they can do; say No replacement? You'd be no worse off than you are now. In that case you just go buy a new one (after argueing profusely first, of course).
Good Luck in whatever you do/try.

^Some very sage advice here. I agree wholeheartedly.

On a side note - you're a nut LBJustinTime! Paint on the caps, the RAM on your video card, etc, etc! Looks pretty cool, though .

That would be the next thing to look at for sure! BTW LbJustinTime, as a side not to the photography you might want to try either a tripod or setting the camera on a steady surface for the "glow in the dark" shots. That would cut down considerably on the blurry bits. The shutter speed slows considerably for the night shots so its best to not have the camera in hand. Looks pretty nice though. I have UV sensative cables but not sure I'd have the guts to do the caps and such as you did.
