i was just browsing at newegg when i ran across "the evercase". it looks like it might be a okay deal. you save 5 bucks if you buy an AMD proc with it. you can buy it with a 300w enhance PSU for $54 shipped. i'm thinking of getting this case for a k7S5A/duron box. anyone have experience with enhance PSU's??

well i was probably going to go for the enlight until i saw this case. it is a little cheaper (up to $13 cheaper) and i'm trying to build a good lan box for as little as possible. i'm still debating between the two but at this point i'm leaning towards the evercase w/PSU.

Hey natopotato, check out this case at AxionTech.com for $52 shipped. It comes with an AMD-approved 300w PSU, room for an 80mm fan up front, and the screw holes for the rear exhaust fan will let you use an 80mm or 92mm fan. The description doesn't say anything about an AMD-approved PSU, but if you read the user reviews it describes it as such. I ordered one for a system I put together last week and sure enough the PSU had a sticker on it that said "AMD Approved." I didn't to take it out of the case to see who makes it, but the 1.33 Tbird/Epox 8K7A system I put in it worked out great for my buddy. The biggest surprise for me was being able to install a 92mm exhaust fan, because I had a Panaflo lying around to slap in it. With just the PSU fan and the 92mm fan exhausting, retail AMD heatsink with A.S. II, his CPU temp is 41C at idle (46C under load) and it's a pretty quiet setup. Access is good - you have to remove the top cover via two silver thumbscrews and then the sides just slide up and off. I was pretty impressed for the $39 it sells for on the site. Check out the user reviews on the page for more detailed info. Good luck!

It looks real nice to me. I scrolled through the pix on the site and there are some cool features. I'd give it try. Enlight is great but there lacking 21st century inovations.

I second that.. it's got some pretty unique features and lots of hard drive space.. and it's dirt cheap..

Check out the manufacturers page for more info. I would have given this a shot if I hadn't scored the $45 antec SX830 deal from BB. Kinda hard to find front mounted USB ports in this price range...

I like what I am seeing in this case. I was also considering the Enlight 7237, but I think I may have to try this one instead. I am curious about the reset button though, as it looks like it may be resessed into the case, and require a pointed object to push it in. I have an older case with a reset button that is flush with the front panel, and it is kind of a hassel to keep something around to push it in. Possibly could modify this though, and it will not likely keep me from purchasing this unit.
Would love to hear from anyone that has this case.

I think this is a very nice mid-size looking case.
I would easily get this one before the Enlight.
Everyone and their mom has an Enlight.

$54 shipped is a pretty good price. Change is GOOD.

If you guys are considering a new case, you have to look at the Enermax, CS-A1QX-06, 2-Tone, 9-Bay, 300W PS, P4, MID Tower Case (cut and paster from newegg).

It is $63 shipped from newegg and it comes with an EG301P VB (AMD Recommended) Enermax power supply.

You'll experience no difficuties at all with the reset button. It works just fine. We've been using this case (and it's cousin, the Nikie Series) for the past 7 months. They can't be beat for the price. I can't get a decent 300WATT ps for the price. If any of you have a shop, you can purchase these direct from the mfg. - Dynapower - for $27.50 plus shipping. Cost me $5.00 to way Northern California (Baja Oregon).

PM if you have any questions. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I've got this case from newegg for $99 and I love it. PS has two fans and the case has 3 plus I added another one. Stays cool as can be.

Enermax / Antec, Beige/White, 10-Bay, Enermax 330W P-4 PS, Server Tower Case

Looks like the 300W PS has been certified through the AthlonXP 1600, according to AMD's site...

Hm.. where's the cheapest place to get a 400W power supply (AMD approved)? I'd like to order this case without the 300w PSU and put in a 400w of my own, but I want to know how expensive it will be.

Its dirt cheap without the power supply. I already have a power supply, and I was looking at this case. Anyone have any review about it?

$37 shipped for a nice midtower case. I can't seem to find any reviews of it, or anything like that.

Thoughts?

Inside view from the manu page...what the devil is that bar?
Inside pic

Oh, nevermind, it's a "card retention bar" for holding your cards more secure. Just looked it up myself. Odd, dunno if I'd use it.

Looks like a fun case, might pick one up myself. Just wondering which way to go on power suppy.

If you look at the evercase website the retention bar is optional, and it doesn't appear in the newegg pictures, so I doubt it is included, even if it is included, it is easily removable it appears.

Something I didn't notice at first is that this has 2 usb ports on the front that should be able to use those USB headers on our motherboards.....(this is an option so you need to look at the newegg pictures and description to see it.

I had been looking for a case for awhile. I just ordered one w/o the PSU as I already have a good 350W power supply to put in it. I just wish it had a slide out mobo tray though. When it shows up next week I will post how it works out.

This ever case says it will take a 9.5 x 12" motherboard.Does that mean that there is no problem with a board that exact size,305 x244mm. It has most of the features I would like to have,If it just had a slideout MB tray.

mine just arrived today. looks like it will hold my epox 8kha+ mobo with no problems. It seems to be built pretty sturdy. No pc speaker, I don't know if you need one anyway. i put a 92mm fan(had one laying around) in the front sucking air in and a 80mm blowing out the back. The tooless feature is a little weak. I don't know how well it will hold the drives. The clips that hold the side panel are pretty weak also. overall it looks pretty decent for $37 (no PSU) delivered.
