After thinking it over, I find that I don't really care enough to buy it, so I won't be playing. I'll check out game play videos and watch high level matches every now and then, but I've lost interest in playing myself.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed the first one (I also got it for "free" </best wedding party gift ever>), so $30 is a no brainer. I can understand not wanting at this price though... I wouldn't pay $30 for a lot of titles other people would. That is just how it goes.

I plan to wait until the entire SC2 series is available on a single disc at a sale price. Since I only plan to play the SP campaign, I'll enjoy it just as much at that point as I would now, just for a lot less $$$. Plus, I won't be waiting for the next installment to be released.

Valid points except this last one. Technically you're waiting for the last one plus some. But yeah, I'm not gonna sweat $100 or whatever I end up spending over the long run.

I highly doubt they will release it on a single disc. Sure there will be a "Collection's" release where it will have all 3 games, but each game is probably 10-15gb each and as far as I know, PC game mfg's don't use blu rays for their games yet.

I pre-ordered the CE from newegg a few months back. There was another $10 coupon that worked on the CE. $69.99 ain't that bad for it (no tax, free ship). I originally had it PO from amazon, but now they charge tax in TX and there was no $10 coupon, so no brainer for me.

You should use this time until HOTS comes out to play through the SP campaign if you haven't already. It's definitely a fun campaign, regardless of what people think of the actual story line.

They have way too high of a price as well, SC2 should be $5-10 by now, and the expansion should be $15-20.

StarCraft was one of those games I ONLY played online... when they designed SC2 to be competitive and everyone is ranked (outside of your win / loss / tie record), it completely turned me away.

However I found the SP a blast. This is where the gold is for me. I don't mind having to log in to play - only thing that would bother me on is a console, as those really should be portable gaming stations to take to friends houses and stuff and have a blast (or hook up to a projector in a movie theatre ).

That's just not how Blizzard prices games. They're one of the handful who discount least.

For example, most MMO's with expansions let you buy the latest expansion and get the earlier ones included.

Not WoW. It's still 'war chest' + Cataclysm + Mists of Panderia.
