Monitors have changed, i have bigger ones now, sub has moved otherwise setup is the same

EDIT: have a slightly diff comp case now as well

ahh found a pic

Your desk has always been my favorite of these threads, probably because of the room and the lighting. Makes me want to buy a house just to re-create the setup.

I don't rock them out

I thought about getting a cheap sub to go with them, but I realized that I don't really care that much.

Mine are the MKII I think. I bought them for my sister, since she was using from $3 unpowered (think powered like headphones from the audio jack) speakers with her computer.

She's in England now, and didn't want to lug them over of course.

I've been spoiled rotten by Audyssey's equalizer correction. I wish I had it on these.

If you haven't seen this...

(Switching back and forth between no equalizer and Audyssey MultEQ XT with some $60 sony speakers... audio changes picked up by my super crappy camera microphone)

lol you're an awesome bro.
And yes it does look like you've been spoiled with the fancy EQ
"With a retail price of $2,500, which includes professional in-home installation and calibration, the Audyssey EQ is simply stunning, if not a mind-boggling value."

I wouldn't mind using a free software one ^_^

What GPU(s) do you use to drive those monitors?

I'll find out I'm back at work, 2 weeks off! SWEET!

I did just have 2 graphics cards in my computer with 2 DVI's outputs on each DVI to 2 VGA.

Then I got a second machine so I run 4 off one computer and 6 off another. Makes for more processing power when I'm running my trading applications and support tools.

yeah, i know. i had one of those chairs. and its weld points broke as well.

first the base broke. then i made some skis for it, and zip-tied them to the bottom of the chair legs. (without the circular base).

then the back of the legs broke. screwed on a piece of strap-steel to hold the dimension, and continued using the chair.

then the wend point for the lever broke. duct-taped it together and put a box underneath the chair till finally it was time to just let it go.

(just let it go, man! just let it go!)

This is my humble desk... wish I could get another 20" WS to replace the 17" but that will come in time!

Oh, I don't have the actual one from Audyssey.

I have MultEQ XT built into my Onkyo 876 receiver, and a more robust version of MultEQ XT built into my SVS AS-EQ1 subwoofer equalizer.

They make a big difference, but I'm still ok with how the Swans sound on their own.

I've been checking Craigslist and you can get a 32" LCD for ~$200. I'm thinking about going that route.

My computer setup right now consists of a couple of laptops and an ultra comfy leather recliner in the living room. It's what all the cool kids are doing. My office looks like a tomb where computers go to die.

This is the PC/TV behind where I sit at the computer shown in the first shot. It's just a lowly P4 3.0 @ 3.3GHz with 2GB memory and 1TB of storage. It's used for backups, movies, Hulu, and watching cable TV.

Sweet rig. Main thing I would change is the video cards and the MB to support them. I like NVidia's SLI technology better than Crossfire.

Curious though have you had any problems running crossfire on any games? I wonder if the ATI crossfire drivers are better now than they were? Also, do you have any heat issues running 3 video cards? My experience with ATI cards are that they run hot.
